What Tanzania Could Become

Devanshi believes Tanzania has far more chess talent than the world currently sees.

“I feel like Tanzania has a lot of potential,” she says. “When we go outside and play these tournaments, everyone gets to see that potential. We have to unlock it and nurture it so that we can raise Tanzania’s flag high.”

That opportunity depends on more than discovering talented children. It requires coaching, school programmes, competitive tournaments, international exposure and support for families carrying much of the burden themselves.

Aditya’s mother believes the next step is clear: more international competition, more exposure and more opportunities to test his abilities against stronger players.

She sees the possibility of something larger than continental success. With the right guidance, disciplined training and institutional support, she believes Aditya can help carry Tanzania’s name further onto the world stage.

Her dream is not simply for him to collect medals. It is for both children to continue developing as players and as people.
