Corrections Policy

We are committed to accuracy and to correcting the record promptly when we get something wrong.

Reporting an error

Readers can report an error by emailing corrections@urtstories.com or through the contact page. Please include the story URL, the passage you believe is inaccurate, and any supporting source.

Our response

Substantive errors of fact are corrected as quickly as possible. A correction note is appended to the story explaining what was changed and when, and the correction is reflected in the article's modification date.

Clarifications

Where wording is ambiguous or could mislead without being strictly false, we issue a clarification rather than a correction.

Retractions

In the rare case where a story is materially and irreparably wrong, we retract it and publish a note explaining why. Retracted content is removed or marked clearly so it is not mistaken for factual reporting.
